Day in the Life of My Challenge

My Daily Routine 

A lot of people have been asking me about my experience on the Challenge and what I have been doing.
Here's a day in the life of Millie's Challenge:) 
Welcome to Advocare Paradise! 

Cleanse
  1. Wake up!
  2. Drink Spark and then wait 30 minutes!
  3. Drink the Fiber Drink (Only on days 1,2,3,8,9,10)  I drink it fast by the way.  I just chug it and then chase it with another small glass of water.
  4. Then I drink my meal replacement shake! (This is only for those who ordered the add-on extra box of shakes.  If you didn't, don't worry! Just eat a great breakfast with plenty of protein in it!)
  5. I take my 2 Omegaplex with my breakfast.
  6. Then at about 9-9:30a.m. I have my mid morning snack! (I would eat a hand full of almonds or a hard boiled egg, or an apple with some peanut butter.  You really want protein incorporated in this snack)
  7. My lunch consists of things like grilled chicken salads, or a lean protein with some kind of fruits and rice/veggie.
  8. Then around 1:30p.m. I will have my mid afternoon snack which is normally an apple or an orange.
  9. When I get home from school, I can have like a hard-boiled egg if I am hungry.
  10. Around 6, I go to the YMCA and I remember to take my Catalyst! (If you don't exercise at this time, you can also take it with your mid afternoon snack.)
  11. Then after the YMCA (or any kind of exercise) I get home and eat dinner which is normally either scrambled eggs, ride/chicken/broccoli mixture, or just healthy/lean meats and proteins.  I take 2 Omegaplex with my 
  12. Then before I go to bed, I take my Herbal Cleanse Tablets. 
Now on days 4-10 I take the pro-biotic restore pills that are in the Cleanse Box.  
(I will attach a sheet that I used and that will help you through the Challenge)

Max Phase

  1. Wake up! 
  2. Drink my Spark and take my "Before Breakfast" packet (in the MNS 3)
  3. Wait 30 minutes!
  4. Then I drink my meal replacement shake! Yum!
  5. Mid-morning snack comes around at about 9-9:30a.m. for me, and this is where I eat some almonds or an apple with some peanut butter.
  6. Lunch time rolls around and I will have either some fish, a lean chicken breast, some brown rice and veggies, maybe some raspberries or strawberries.
  7. 1:30p.m. is my mid-afternoon snack where I choose from the same type of things as my mid-morning snack.
  8. Around 6p.m. I exercise and take my Catalyst 10 minutes before I workout.
  9. After my exercise, I come home and eat some dinner, normally scrambled eggs, fish, lean chicken breast, and some fruits/veggies. Then I take my 2 Omegaplex here.
  10. Then I go to bed:)

Change Your Lifestyle!

It's Time For A Change!

If any of you are like me, I was unhappy with my body since I can remember.
I always struggled with my weight and found myself feeling like crap all of the time.
I kept telling myself that I didn't care what people thought, and in reality, I was just lying to myself.
I DID CARE.  
I was just so good at eating my problems away.

The worst part of the entire weight struggle was probably trying to ignore the fact that when summer comes around, none of my clothes would ever fit.  And the same with school.  



It was time for a change.
But when was a diet ever going to work?
I hate starving myself.
And all of those diet shakes taste awful!
Let's be honest, I'd rather just be overweight than eat that crap.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
I can either continue to live in this mess of my body,
or I can respect my body that the Lord gave me, 
and treat it right.

That's when I found ADVOCARE!

You can probably tell that I look extremely self-conscience.
I hated taking pictures!


I honestly didn't know how unhappy I was until I started my Challenge.













The Cleanse in itself changed my life.

I lost 6 pounds and 4&1/2 inches on my cleanse!

Are you curious how this happened?
Well the simple answer is,
I JUST CLEANED OUT ALL OF THE CRAP I HAD BEEN STUFFING MY BODY WITH.
Once I got rid of all of that gunk, my body could work properly and I was able to absorb the good nutrients that my body needs.

People see me in the hallways and tell me I look great now!
What a surprise! 
I always thought that I would have to loose like 50 pounds to feel beautiful,
But in just 6 pounds, people are starting to see the real me.

 Maybe it's just me, but I was so ignorant about what my body needed to be healthy!!

This isn't even about weight loss anymore!

This is about giving my body what it's supposed to have!










It's okay to ask questions.

It's okay to not know all of the answers.

Made it to Day 10!



I made it to day 10! 



I am so proud of myself! 

I have officially completed my cleanse:)

I have lost 6 pounds and 4 and 1/2 inches in 10 days,
 and that's not about to be the final number! 



(A gross picture but I thought it was awesome!) 


I plan on continuing my progress and I am so excited for the Max Phase!  



Bring on the new me! 



I never have stuck with a diet, EVER.
But the reason this is working so well is because 
THE 24 DAY CHALLENGE IS NOT A DIET! 
We are just teaching our bodies to eat properly and at the right time!

Ready for My Challenge!

Ready for My Challenge! 
Today is day 1 of my 24 Day Challenge!!!!
Words can't even describe how excited I am.  
I'm ready to treat my body right.

I start my morning off with a glass of water and then Spark:) 
Nothing out of the usual for me!
How easy is that?

After waiting 30 minutes....

I'm ready for my Citrus Fiber Drink (out of my cleanse box). 
JUST CHUG IT.
If you wait to long, it's going to get grossly thick.
And if you can't stand the taste, before adding the mix to your water, add a touch of orange juice to distract your taste buds:)
Now drink another glass of water:)
(Don't be freaked out.  Most people say the Fiber drink is the worst part and you just have that days 1,2,3 and 8,9,10!).  


Now, I am going to drink a Meal Replacement Shake for breakfast because I normally don't eat breakfast.  Mmmmm... Chocolate Mocha:) You don't have to do this on the Cleanse! As long as you eat a good breakfast, you're solid:) 

REMEMBER, YOU'RE ON A CLEANSE.  
So the goal is to keep the gunk out of your body, not put it right back in! 

With your Meal Replacement Shake, don't forget to take your 2 Omegaplex! 

10:00a.m. - It's mid-morning snack time! 

This is where you want to snack on things like nuts, fruits, veggies, hardboiled eggs, rice cakes, etc. 
REMEMBER: This is a snack.  We are trying to train ourselves out of our old habits of eating large amounts of food only a couple times a day.  Our body will be able to keep up burning calories if we eat approximately 6 smaller meals throughout the day. 
My mid-morning snack today is some almonds:) YUM!

Lunch time comes around and I am having one of these awesome choices: Salads, greens, veggies with lean protein, and complex carbs! 

I have a salad that I made (with cucumber and chicken breast!)and some blackberries! 

Now mid-afternoon is here and I'm going to be having another snack (same choices as my mid-morning snack). 

PLUS I'm going to be taking my 3 catalyst:)
I am having an apple today:)

Dinner time! Which means I'm enjoying some lean protein, veggies, and 2 Omegaplex!


For my after dinner snack, I'll munch on some fruits or veggies.

Strawberries:)
Bedtime rolls around and all I have to do is take my Herbal Cleanse Tablets (in my cleanse box). 


DON'T FORGET: You should be drinking 8oz. of water each time you have one of your meals/snacks.  





You can do this!  Just always have your snacks and meals prepared so you're not tempted to spontaneously eat something that you know you shouldn't. 


This isn't a diet:) It's training your body to eat better and as a result, you're going to feel better!

The Cleanse Phase

The Cleanse Phase

Some of you might already know, but the 24 Day Challenge is broken down into 2 phases:
  1. Cleanse Phase
  2. Max Phase
The Cleanse Phase is all about preparing your body to receive all the good nutrients your body needs and getting rid of all the impurities and harmful things that have accumulated over time.  

**Many people have experienced weight loss during this phase as well!**

By the way, am I the only one who loves the word "Cleanse"?  
It just sounds wonderful! 

The first part of the Cleanse Phase is the Herbal Cleanse.
This comes in Citrus or Peaches and Cream.  (I recommend Peaches and Cream).  


Advocare recommends using the Herbal Cleanse every 90 days to keep your body prepared for proper nutrient absorption.  










The next product during the Cleanse phase is my all time favorite, Spark! 



We all love feeling awake and focused, and we can do this through Spark that is sugar free and has 21 vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that our bodies need:)

The third product included in the Cleanse Phase is called OmegaPlex.
It is a high quality blend of essential Omega-3 fatty acids.
Sounds kind of gross right?
Don't worry!
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential components of heart, nerve, muscle, skin, bone, and immune health.  
Awesome huh?:)



This whole phase lasts only 10 days! 
How incredible is that?!

After this is complete and we are feeling great and energized, we are ready to move on to the next phase: The Max Phase!
